Human Resources Intern

This Human Resources Internship will give the selected individual the chance to gain general knowledge of Human Resources through hands-on involvement within a start up company.   The intern will have exposure to a wide range of HR projects, work with senior leaders, implement a variety of human resources processes, and contribute to the overall HR business initiatives.  The cross functional internship can allow for time in HR Leadership activities, HR Generalist work, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, as well as Compensation and Benefits and more! 

Job duties include:

  • Partner with business owners on Human Resources initiatives

  • Assist in recruiting activities including sourcing of candidates, scheduling of interviews, and participation in interview / hiring / onboarding process

  • Provide excellent customer service to Hiring Managers and HR business partners

  • Actively participates in HR meetings and other company-wide meetings

  • Provide administrative support and document coordination

  • Create and analyze HR reports

  • Participate in special projects as required

  • Design and Implement trainings and on-boarding materials and processes

Desired Skills and Experience

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate would be be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or labor relations 

  • Demonstrated analytical skills with a focus on details

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization and in a variety of work environments

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft programs to prepare reports, spreadsheets, and presentations. 

  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential / sensitive data, materials, and correspondence

  • Good planning, organizing and multi-tasking skills; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work remotely, demonstrate leadership and take initiative.
